Introduction
This epic fitness competition, which produces extraordinary results for men and women of all ages and abilities, provides both members and non-members the opportunity of changing their life through dramatic improvements in body composition, strength, and aerobic endurance with multiple shots at winning big prizes. The BR is a program of health and fitness enhancement geared for all medically cleared people age 15 years or older providing the opportunity for success regardless of age, gender, body weight, or height (It’s age, gender, body weight, and height adjusted).
The extraordinarily unique BR is highly personalized: our web site provides
weekly statistics on hundreds of aspects of the competition, weekly
news stories and photos highlighting the heroes and villains of the
battle, a weekly column, a quote section where participants can
communicate with one another, and biographies of competitors written
with a balance of drama and humor. Additionally, Maximum Definition
will provide three major fitness assessments at the beginning,
middle, and end of the BR, a seminar to educate and motivate
participants, a comprehensive historical and statistical compendium
of BR VIII, and an awards dinner complete with a deluge of trophies and
cash prizes. For those who wish to remain private about their
exploits, all standings and statistics of each competitor will be
identified by a code number, allowing anyone the opportunity to
remain anonymous. Those wishing to interact and let their progress
be known to fellow participants can allow their name to be
registered in the identification index located on our web site.

The Scoring System
Four categories (Body Composition, Aerobic Capacity, Lower Body Strength, and Upper Body Strength) will be determined by a detailed rating system based on age and gender. The rating system tables for each category will be available for viewing on the web site throughout the competition. The higher your rating in each category (Scores run from 55 to 100+), the better your score. Each score from a competitor's three selected categories will be averaged to determine that individual's rank in the Overall Fitness standings. The BR system not only evens out differences between age, gender, body weight, and height, but also identifies a solid performance. Thus, even if a competitor doesn’t win a category of the competition, they will receive a score that will let them know how well they performed, not only in the overall standings, but also in a multitude of other subcategories. If anyone scores 80 or more in the overall fitness standings or in any of the four sub-categories, they can be reasonably sure they've turned in a solid performance. Guidelines for the overall scoring system are as follows:

While 80 is considered a good achievement for most competitors, the BR Committee hopes all combatants strive for much higher goals, such as crashing through the 100 barrier, winning a category, or winning the entire Royale. Scores well over 100 are quite possible, as the plethora of previous BR success stories indicate.
Aiming high allows you to cover more ground, so that even if you
fall short of your objective, you'll still be much improved over
where you started. The BR Committee is extraordinarily committed to the success of everyone involved, and hopes all contestants will be equally committed to attaining their goals. As long as you believe in yourself, give 100% effort, and carry out your mission in a safe manner, you will more than likely be very successful in this endeavor. The BR Committee strongly believes every individual has the ability to achieve gigantic success in at least one category, and, in most cases, multiple categories. |
